Ms. Sariah Scott is a registered psychologist and clinical psychology registrar. She holds undergraduate qualifications in psychology from La Trobe University, and post graduate qualifications from Monash University. She completed a Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Western Sydney where she gained a place on the Dean’s Merit List for academic excellence. During her clinical training she worked in various settings such as Community Mental Health, NSW Medicare Locals, and Headspace.
Sariah also currently works in an outpatient mental health facility, with individuals with chronic and severe mental illness, particularly those who display high risk behaviours. She has worked previously in neuropsychological research for children, adolescents and adults with conditions such as depression and ADHD.
Sariah has a keen interest in adolescent mental health, particularly in early intervention programs for emerging psychological conditions. She advocates for evidence based, individualised treatment for clients, which is both active and collaborative. She believes in addressing clients’ issues in a comprehensive way, taking social and lifestyle factors into consideration. Her clinical orientation is based in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and she utilises other approaches such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Schema Therapy.
Sariah has interest and expertise in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive conditions, as well as complex clinical issues such as psychosis and personality disorders.
Janét is on sabbatical and is not taking any appointments at this time.
Janét graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne in 1986 with an Honours degree in Behavioural Science. While doing her Honours part-time she worked in infant research at La Trobe and then set up an Infant Research project at Melbourne University. She then worked in tertiary administration and tutored psychology students while continuing a reduced role in research. For a few years Janét immersed herself in dance and theatre, merging art expression and therapy. Janét later moved to Sydney, and has been working one on one with clients and facilitating therapy groups since 1999.
Janét enjoys her work and is constantly learning in order to develop specialised skills and hone her craft as a therapist. Her current practice incorporates several therapeutic approaches. Janét sees young adults, older adults and everyone in between, women and men, plus couples.
In addition to practising at Flourish Health, Janét has extensive experience as a group facilitator and co-developed the award-winning Can-Stop program for cannabis user.
As a registered Psychologist Janét is subject to professional and ethical requirements determined by a statutory body (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
Treatment will only be offered in areas of expertise; in some cases, referral may be made to another professional with more relevant skills.
Janét is not taking any new clients at this time.

Introducing Felicity Shagwell, and Jorja Brown Aus Ch, the Therapeutic Assistant Team.
Highly credentialed, they come from a long line of Therapeutic Assistants.
Confidentiality is their forté - they have excellent listening skills and unconditional positive regard comes naturally. They are fantastic teachers of relaxation. Their ability to sleep and lay about is phenomenal. They are always grounded and enjoying the present.
On their days off Felicity and Jorja like to beachwalk and play with other dogs.
