About Janét

Janét is on sabbatical and is not taking any appointments at this time.

Janét graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne in 1986 with an Honours degree in Behavioural Science. While doing her Honours part-time she worked in infant research at La Trobe and then set up an Infant Research project at Melbourne University. She then worked in tertiary administration and tutored psychology students while continuing a reduced role in research. For a few years Janét immersed herself in dance and theatre, merging art expression and therapy. Janét later moved to Sydney, and has been working one on one with clients and facilitating therapy groups since 1999.

Janét enjoys her work and is constantly learning in order to develop specialised skills and hone her craft as a therapist. Her current practice incorporates several therapeutic approaches. Janét sees young adults, older adults and everyone in between, women and men, plus couples.

In addition to practising at Flourish Health, Janét has extensive experience as a group facilitator and co-developed the award-winning Can-Stop program for cannabis user.

As a registered Psychologist Janét is subject to professional and ethical requirements determined by a statutory body (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).

Treatment will only be offered in areas of expertise; in some cases, referral may be made to another professional with more relevant skills.
